 Before you load up the machine:

• Separate by colour: Whites, darks, and colours each deserve their own load.
   
• Check the tags: Delicates and hand-wash items should go in mesh bags or be washed separately.
   
• Zip it up: Close zippers and turn garments inside out to protect fabric and print.

 Overloading can cause:

• Clothes not to wash or rinse properly
   
• Excess wear and tear on fabrics
   
• Longer drying times
   

A good rule: The drum should be about 75% full.
